Who’s Who
I am Ashley and I am married to Kathryn. We have two adult sons.
As a family we came to The Terrace Church in 2014 when the church asked me to come and be their minister, their pastor. Before that, I was an Assistant minister in the Southeast, where I worked for a church as their Evangelist. Before retraining at Oakhill Theological college, I was a History and RE teacher for 11 years. Kathryn was a teacher too.
I became a Christian at age 11 (1983) at a kids camp. I listened to a minister preach on The Lord’s Prayer and I can only say that my heart warmed to Jesus, but I knew I was not a Christian and would not be in heaven when I died. I was encouraged to ask Jesus for forgiveness and that he would come into my life. Jesus’ words in John 3v16 suddenly became real to me.
I love to preach God’s Word, work 1-2-1 with men, spend time with my wife and boys, cycle and watch rugby…..and it will be lovely to see you at The Terrace!
Roger has been attending the Terrace Church and become involved in its ministry since the end of 2014 having relocated to Rugby. With a heart dedicated to serving others and nurturing spiritual growth, Roger serves faithfully as one of the church’s elders, leads one of the local Home Groups and helps with the church’s youth work.
Roger’s heartfelt desire is to see the Bible’s teachings about God and His son, Jesus Christ, shared with clarity and faithfulness at The Terrace Church. He hopes these teachings will encourage people to build a genuine relationship with God; positively influencing our relationships with other people and transforming lives in a meaningful way.
Beyond church life, Roger is married to Nadia, and they have three children. Professionally, he applies his problem-solving skills as a Systems Engineer in the Automotive industry, balancing the demands of family, faith, and career with grace and determination.
I’m Charles, one of the Elders at The Terrace. I’m married to Nickie and am Dad to two grown up (now married) daughters both of whom love the Lord. Heaven became real to me and Jesus became my saviour around 25 years ago having been to church every Sunday for about 10 years prior. What got me to this point was truly understanding John 1:1-18 which spoke to me directly.
Having arrived in Rugby with Nickie and a boney lurcher called Blake on a narrowboat in 2017 we are totally sure that The Terrace is now our home (here on earth) and the people that go there are our family.
Recently retired from 43 years working as a director of a technology company serving the TV broadcast industry my passions outside of church are family, the aforementioned Narrowboat, travel, cooking and dare I say…. a bit of Star Trek!!
I’m Albert and was born in Radom, Poland in 1974 to a Catholic family.
I came to the UK in 2014 and settled in Gloucester and in 2017 I moved to Rugby where my family joined me. In the same year I was looking for English lessons for myself and my wife
and came to The Terrace Church where we found good English teachers and most importantly they met the true God and turned to Jesus Christ as their and only saviour.
In 2021 both my wife and I were baptised and then in 2024 I was invited to join the group of deacons.
I have been married to Nina since 1997 and we have two
children and I am a professional HGV driver.
I am Tina a single lady that retired in 2020 from my role as Lead Nurse looking after children with life limiting conditions which I had the privilege of for 7 years following my retirement from the NHS.
I was brought up in a Christian home and was saved in my teens, but it wasn’t a road to Damascus conversion but a realisation that I was a sinner and needed Jesus to save me and being brought up in a Christian home did not save me.
On my return to Rugby to care for an elderly parent I have been a regular attender and member of the fellowship at the Terrace.
In my spare time I enjoy researching my family tree and spending time with friends and family. Special verses from the scriptures for me is Romans 8:1-3
I’m Izzy and I’m married to Will. We have two little girls. We joined The Terrace in November 2021, soon after moving to Rugby.
I am primarily a home maker and stay at home mum, although I do some exam marking and SEN supply work.
I can’t remember not having a relationship with our Heavenly Father – I am hugely thankful for parents who taught me to know and love the Lord and for God’s grace in making me his child and holding me fast.
